90-minute session
You were taught to obey. Now, learn to trust yourself.
There's a pile of mail on your counter. It's been there for weeks—maybe months. Every time you walk past it, you feel a spike of shame. You know there are bills in there. Probably something important. Maybe something urgent. But you can't open it. Not because you don't care. Because somewhere in your nervous system, opening that mail feels dangerous. What if you can't handle what's inside? What if you've already failed at something you were supposed to know how to do? So the pile grows. And the shame grows. And you start avoiding the kitchen entirely.
It's about what happens when someone else has been running your life. Telling you who to be, what to think, how to decide. And suddenly they're not.
Now you're standing alone trying to figure out how to trust yourself when self-trust was always labeled dangerous.
When you leave a high-control system—whether it's an authoritarian religion, a controlling relationship, a rigid family structure, or a toxic workplace—you don't just lose the rules.
You lose:
The external regulation that told you when to act, what to feel, how to decide
The identity that came with compliance ("I'm good because I follow the rules")
The clear metrics for success ("Do this = you're worthy")
Permission to trust yourself (because self-trust was framed as selfishness or rebellion)
And if you're also neurodivergent? You're dealing with a brain that already struggles with executive function, time perception, working memory, and emotional regulation.
So you're not just rebuilding your life. You're learning to be your own authority while your brain works differently than the systems you're trying to navigate.
Here's what probably happens:
Something feels overwhelming (the mail, a decision, a relationship, your career)
You freeze. Not because you don't care, but because you don't know where to start and starting wrong feels dangerous
Time passes. The thing gets worse. Now there's urgency on top of overwhelm.
Shame: "I should be good at this by now. Everyone else can handle this. What's wrong with me?"
The shame makes it harder to start. So you avoid it more.
Eventually, it explodes. Or you shut down completely.
This isn't a character flaw.
It's a nervous system trying to survive without the external structure it was trained to rely on.
This is not therapy. It's not a productivity hack. It's not a motivational pep talk. It's practical translation work. Turning the chaos in your head into something you can actually work with.
In 90 minutes, we're going to:
Map your chaos: Every area that's overwhelming you right now gets named and externalized so you can finally see the whole picture
Find the leverage point: The ONE thing that will create relief across everything else (not everything; just the thing that matters most)
Design an experimen: Not a plan you'll abandon. A real experiment built for YOUR brain that you can actually try
Break the shame spiral: Normalize what you thought was uniquely broken about you
Give you next steps: Stupidly small actions you can start today, with troubleshooting built in for when it gets hard
Clarity about what to focus on first
A custom action plan built for your brain (not the neurotypical version you've been trying to force)
Language to describe what you're experiencing
A nervous system that can finally exhale
A written recap so you don't have to hold it all in your head
You feel paralyzed between too many priorities
You've left a high-control system (religion, relationship, family, workplace) and are learning how to self-direct
You know what you "should" do but can't seem to get started
You're tired of advice that works for neurotypical brains but not yours
You need to calm the noise and create focus, now
You want clarity before committing to long-term coaching
You're looking for someone to tell you what to do (I help you figure out what YOU want to do)
You want a magic fix that solves everything in one call (we're finding ONE leverage point, not fixing everything)
You're not willing to try something different from what you've already tried
You're in active crisis and need immediate mental health support (I'm a coach, not a crisis counselor)
I'm not here to give you a planner system designed for neurotypical brains. I'm not here to tell you to "just try harder" or "make better choices."
My superpower is articulating complex emotional and executive-function experiences in ways that make you feel instantly seen.
I translate the chaos you've been living with into language that makes sense. I name the shame loops you thought were just you being broken. I help you see that your struggle isn't a character flaw. It's a nervous system doing exactly what it was trained to do.
And then we build something that actually works for YOUR brain.
I know this territory because I've lived it.
I left a high-control religion. I'm ADHD. I've done the work of learning to trust myself when self-trust felt like rebellion. I've rebuilt my life without an instruction manual.
And I've helped many people do the same.
"I came in frozen. I left with three things I could actually do—and I did them that week. Brittney didn't just give me advice. She helped me understand why I've been stuck."— Jeremy M.
"It felt like someone finally understood how my brain works. I wasn't broken. I just needed a system built for me."— Sara T.
You'll receive a short prep form (10 minutes) so I can understand where you are. The questions might feel uncomfortable. That's normal. Answer honestly. There are no wrong answers.
Phase 1 (10 min): We slow down. Build safety. You tell me what brought you here.
Phase 2 (20 min): We map all the overwhelm. No fixing. Just witnessing. You see the whole picture for the first time.
Phase 3 (30 min): We find what matters most. Then we design an experiment you can actually try.
Phase 4 (20 min): We break it into tiny steps. Schedule them. Pre-plan for failure so shame won't stop you.
Phase 5 (10 min): I recap everything. You leave knowing exactly what to do next.
(Time frames are approximate)
Within 24 hours, you'll receive a written recap with your chaos map, your experiment, your action steps, and your success metrics. You'll also get a one-week check-in email and optional progress worksheets.

What if I don't know what I want? That's exactly why this session exists. When you've spent years being told what to want, it's hard to know what YOU actually want. We'll figure it out together. I have questions that will help you access what you know but can't quite articulate yet.
What if I've tried everything and nothing works?
You've tried everything designed for neurotypical brains. We're going to design something for YOUR brain. And if it doesn't work? We learn what doesn't work and adjust. This is an experiment, not a test you can fail.
Is this therapy?
No. I'm a coach, not a therapist. If you're in active crisis or need clinical mental health support, I'll help you find those resources. But if you need help translating your chaos into actionable steps and building systems that work for your brain, that's exactly what I do.
What if 90 minutes isn't enough?
This session isn't about solving everything. It's about finding ONE thing that will create relief everywhere else. That's completely doable in 90 minutes. If you want ongoing support after that, I offer longer coaching packages but there's zero pressure. This session stands alone.
What if I don't follow through after the session?
Then we learn something important about what got in the way, and we adjust. That's why I send a one-week check-in and progress worksheets. This isn't about perfect execution. It's about learning what works for your brain. Missing steps gives us data.
Do I need to be diagnosed with ADHD or have left a specific religion?
No. If you relate to the experiences described on this page: If you've been in a system that controlled how you thought and decided, if your brain works differently than the world expects, if you're trying to rebuild trust in yourself, this session is for you.
What's your cancellation policy?Life happens. Cancel or reschedule up to 24 hours before your session for a full refund or to move to a different date. No judgment.
You didn't fail at being a person. You were taught a way of being that doesn't fit who you actually are.
The system failed you. Not the other way around.
And now you get to build something different.
This session is where that starts.
