When Sacred Spaces Become Crime Scenes
On grief, belonging, and the right to mourn from the outside
This morning’s headline shattered me. A gunman drove his vehicle through the front doors of an LDS church in Grand Blanc, Michigan, and opened fire on hundreds of worshippers during Sunday service. So far, two people are dead. Eight others injured. The church was deliberately set on fire, possbily with more people inside.
